Hiya, god it's been a long time since blogging! School is taking so much time at the moment it's hard to find time for other internet surfing than facebook or tumblr. :D But I really want to keep up with blogging too and since Lissa tagged me for a challenge, I think this is a good chance to start writing again. I also hope to renew my blog layout soon when I find a nice one. But now, to the challenge. :)

11 Facts about me:
1. I love simplicity and being organized. I find it hard to focus on anything if my room is very messy!
2. I'm sick at home at the moment :(
3. I value good friends over anything else
4. I'm going to graduate from upper secondary school this Spring.
5. I love to paint and draw, but I wish I had more time to do it.
6. Can't help it, I love fashion and clothing.
7. I still don't know what I'm going to study in future.. I'm considering dentistry but also some creative branches.
8. I like to look up new bands and listen to all kinds of music.
9. Bon Iver and Coldplay are the two of my favourite artists.
10. When I get done with exams first thing I'm going to start doing is to cook more often!
11. I want to go study abroad some day, as an exchange- student or move to another country.

1. What are your dreams?
- As said above move abroad, and go to study something that feels like 'my thing'.

2. What are you passionate about?
- Art!

3. What are you most grateful for in life?
- My family and a few closest friends.

4. If you could have one superpower, which would you choose and why?
- I'd like to be able to change the colour of my hair! :D haha. Seriously, I'm not sure! It would be cool to be able to run at a speed of light.

5. How would you spend your ideal day?
- wake up in my bed to sunlight, make a good breakfast and enjoy it outside. Meet my friends and walk with them in a big city and maybe go eat a waffle and drink some coffee. In the evening I'd like to go outside, sit in a nice café or a bar and maybe dance a bit! Then watch a good movie and go to bed. :)

6. What one thing are you most proud of?
- that I've always been able to keep up with my hobbies like drawing.

7. What is the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen?
- I've seen many beautiful places... The village of Le Puy en Velay in France was really beautiful, I visited the place with my school last Spring. Italy has some beautiful cities but I like the wilderness of Finnish Lapland as well.

8. What’s your favorite meal?
- oh god, there are so many. Italian food is good and so is sushi. I love good salads and the food my grandma makes.

9. Yes or no?
- I try to be an optimist when I can, so I'll go with Yes!

10. What kind of advice would you give to everybody?
- Be yourself and always hold on to those people who are the most important to you!

11. Do you like guinea pigs?
- Yes, guinea pigs are adorable :3

• I'm so happy it's september now. Today it felt for the first time that autumn is really coming. A little bit of rain doesn't bother me at all and I love being able to wear scarves and warm jumpers.
• I made some mint chocolate muffins today with my favourite recipe! I'm taking them to school tomorrow and making my friends' stomachs happy.
• Lately I've got really drawn to the idea of going to study dentistry after finishing my upper secondary studies. I realise it's not easy getting into medical schools, but I think it will be worth trying.

First school day: done! ☀ As usual our first day consisted of going to school at 11 a.m., getting our student handbooks and planners, eating lunch and after that going to church. The church is voluntary though so we just hanged around with a little group at my friend's place, bought some cookies and ice latte and talked. The best thing about going back to school is definitely being able to see all those people again.

I spent some time on crafting today! I didn't really like our handbook's cover this year, so I made my own from weekday- magazine's pictures.

Little change

I made a new layout! Or maybe took some things off the former one and made it more simple. I think I'm always craving a change but I like this one quite a bit so I'm sure it will stay for a while now.

I seriously can't believe tomorrow is my last day of freedom this summer. School starts on Wednesday and after that I have a month or so until my matriculation exams. It's my last year of high school though (or maybe I should say upper secondary school but it's almost the same) so I'm going to make the most of it... I've had a bit hard time settling back in after my exchange student year but all in all, I like studying there.
Right now I'm thinking what would be the best way to spend the last day of my vacation. My friend has birthday on Wednesday so I'll have to go to downtown and try to look for a gift for her. Once again I'm late with it, but I find it extremely hard coming up with ideas for birthday presents. If I find her present though I'll reward myself with a new planner. ;) haha. G'night!

Alive & Breathing

I'm alive and soon this blog will be too woohoo! :D I made it all the way to Berlin when I went to see my friend, back home and to our summer cottage, and finally home again. I've been travelling so much this summer it has felt like the time has flown by. I haven't really had time to see even my closest friends, so I must say it feels good that school starts soon and I'll be more likely see them more often.

2. My boyfriend was so nice and picked up the Flow magazine for me! Flow is a festival where I'm going next month and I think it's going to be super fun. :-)

I also wanted to tell you that in couple days I'm leaving to Berlin (!!) to see my friend. She was an exchange student in the USA in the same little town where I was and during that one year we grew pretty close. It's so amazing I'm going to see her again, I couldn't be happier!

I finally got a new drawing finished yesterday, and when I was taking a photo of it I realised I might as well show some other of my drawings. I was way too lazy to use our scanner, so I just took the photos on my bed. :D

I was at Stockholm-Arlanda today about at 1p.m. 'Too bad' there was Starbucks next to my gate, I couldn't resist!

Now I'm at home. I made a couple changes in my blog, and changed the name to Milktoast. (How do you like it?) I think the shorter the better when it comes to blog names, and I still kept the toast in it. I think I'm done with changes for a while though. :)

Stockholm for a day

Today I woke up around six, ate breakfast, packed my belongings and left Hagfors. It was a little bit sad to leave because I won't probably be able to go back very soon, but I had waited for this Stockholm trip for a long time so I was really excited to get on the train. In Stockholm I didn't get my hotel room right away so I went walking in the city centre and bought a few nice things from the sales! Well, none of the items I got was on sale, but they were cheap whatsoever. Gotta love h&m, haha.

The few things I got. A headband, shorts and new sunnies (on the table).

This is Sergels Torg. Stockholm is definitely one of my favourite cities of all, it's about the perfect size too. Not to mention people's fashion consciousness! I just like to stare at people passing by because so many dresses up so neatly here. :D Call me a creep.

Three weeks in Sweden

First things first: I added my blog to bloglovin so it's possible to follow me: Follow my blog via bloglovin.

I thought I should probably write the first 'real' post as soon as possible or I'll never get started with this blog. :D
So, last three weeks I've been living in a distant little town in Sweden working in a factory. This is my first summer doing more physically demanding job, but I have to say I like it more than sitting in an office for the whole summer... I've had two shifts but mostly I start at 6 a.m. and work until 2 p.m. and then I have time to do whatever I like for the rest of the day. Works pretty well for me! I also came here to practice the language but I have to say it's very difficult... I'm way too comfortable speaking English. But I've learned a lot and this gave my Swedish studies the motivation boost it's been needing for a long long time. :)

I've also drawn a little bit but still haven't got any fresh ideas for my next year's art diploma. I need to figure something out soon though, because I don't want to run out of time.

Hello everyone, my name is Sofia and this is my new blog that I created because just a few days ago I felt a sudden need for one. Before this I used to have a website called bbird but due to lack of time I had to give it up. Now however I want to give it a go and start writing again.

Just to introduce myself a little, I'm a 19-year-old girl who goes to an art school and hopefully will graduate next Spring. I love good movies, drawing with black ink, painting with bright colours, and learning new languages. My dream is to live abroad, travel a lot and be as happy as I possibly can when I grow up. My family means everything to me and I have one lovely sister who lives in London.
